- How big is Folium Natural Gifts?
- Folium is a home-based business, and I like it that way. It’s fun to be able to get to know people, do custom orders, and provide sincere customer service.
- Do you really make everything yourself?
- I create all of the bath and body products. I measure the sea salt, pour the lip balm, blend the essential oils. Our house smells especially good when I’m working on bath salts. The candles, cards and journals are all designed and hand-crafted using pressed leaves, leaf poundings, pre-poured candles and distressed kraft paper.
- How did Folium Natural Gifts get started?
- I began selling bath salts with my friend Elsa at the farmers’ market in Ellensburg, Washington. We had so much fun at the market that I wanted to try making other natural products. Over time I added things like the herbal body polish, note cards, and oatmeal tub teas.
- Where do you get your ideas for new products?
- The herbal tub teas were inspired by my midwife, who prepared a soothing herbal bath after the birth of each of my children. The Lip Balm flavors are inspired by my customers who ask me questions like, “Do you have a rosemary lip balm?” The mediterranean therapeutic bath was inspired by a trip I took to Israel with my family in 1997.

- The most frequent comment is, “I love how everything looks.” From the lip balm to the bath salts, everything at Folium Natural Gifts has a clean, natural look. The next thing they say is, “This smells so good.” Folium products contain pure essential oils and herbs.
